Belief, also referred to as faith by many, is the most important principle we will cover. Without belief we wouldn’t be who we currently are. It is this power of belief that determines your reality. If you believe you’re healthy, you’re going to be healthy. If you believe you’re sick, you’re going to be sick. If you believe you’re rich, you are. If you believe you’re poor, you are. I can go on and on, but I hope you see the potential power of belief.
You are choosing to believe one reality over another. Just because you have bills doesn’t mean you are poor. Just because you feel a little sick doesn’t mean you are dying.
It is this power of belief that causes events, circumstances, situations, etc. to manifest themselves into your life. It’s no accident your life has become what it currently is.
It’s your belief system that has brought to you exactly what you believe in. Regardless of whether what you believe is true or not.
Yet many of us feed the negative aspects of what we see or hear as being the only truth. It is not. In many cases it is just perceived truth based on your own thoughts, emotions or what others have told you.
Think back to when you were a child. You believed you could do and be anything you wanted to be. Why do we not believe that now? The world is no different today than when you were a child.
You may be saying to yourself, sure it is. Times are harder, jobs are harder to come by, inflation, and so on. These are conditions you are putting on yourself that serve only to limit your potential.
Many people around you, living on the same earth, with the same inflation are not affected by the so called changing times. So why you? Because of your belief system that life for you is just hard.
So how do we go about changing our belief system? The quickest way to do this is to:
1. Believe that it’s your right to have the things you desire.
2. Believe in your ability to attract the things you desire.
3. Believe that thoughts and emotions are the catalyst for change.
4. Believe that your desires are on their way to you.
5. Believe that you will receive it regardless of how long it takes.
You see the common factor here don’t you? Believe, believe, believe and it shall come to pass. To quote a favorite scripture of mine: “So I tell you, when you pray for something, believe that you have already received it. Then it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
It really is that simple. Believe you are healthy and you will be. Believe you are rich and you will be. Of course there is other action that may be required, but belief is one of the actions steps in itself.
It’s simple but not easy for most people because of the beliefs already established in their subconscious. It takes work and practice to change the beliefs that you can only get ahead by working harder, being smarter, knowing people in high places, and so on.
It is the beliefs we were brought up with that also limit our capabilities. Many people are conditioned growing up that they are not smart enough, or that they lack common sense, or that they will never amount to anything.
Although those conditions can be hard to break, they can be and must be if you want to change your life. Replacing those old beliefs will require dealing with the automatic negative thoughts that are attached to those beliefs.
If you do have limiting beliefs, those automatic negative thoughts will constantly reinforce that belief. The only way to get rid of those annoying automatic negative thoughts is to create new positive beliefs to replace the old negative ones.
It doesn’t matter if you believe these new positive thoughts at first. Your subconscious mind is a creature of habit. The more often you consciously focus on your new positive beliefs, the faster they will be taken into your subconscious mind and become your new reality.
Therefore, your responsibility is to believe that you can have a better life and that you deserve to. Remember:
No belief is right or wrong. It is either empowering or limiting.
