By now many of us have heard about or seen the movie the secret. It's based off a 1910 book by Wallace Wattles entitled "The Science of Being Rich." In theory the law of attraction allows you to specifically “attract” the things you desire most into your life. Like the other natural and spiritual laws it can not be changed by anyone. It continues to work every second of every day whether you acknowledge its existence or not.
I find all this very fascinating and do actually believe that we are the creators of our life and not just being in the right place at the right time.
The fact that it’s a never changing law is both good and bad depending on your understanding of it. If you choose to understand it, you can use it to greatly improve your current situation.
The law states that everything in the universe, including ourselves, is pure energy vibrating at a certain frequency. Therefore, the law of attraction states that like energy will attract like energy. The energy (thought vibrations) we are sending out into the universe is the kind of energy we will be attracting back to us.
Simply put; you send out negative vibes, you get back negative realities. You send out positive vibrations, you get back positive outcomes. I will write more in this as time allows.
For now, you’re only requirement is to understand that the thought energy you’re sending out is causing the universe to send back similar energy to create your reality. As mentioned before this could be good or bad.
If you are focusing on the negative things in your life, you are sending out negative energy and the law of attraction will create more negative outcomes for you. Of course the good news is that by changing your focus, you start to send out positive energy and the law of attraction begins to send positive outcomes your way. That’s very exciting I think.
If you are of a spiritual nature then scriptures and biblical teachings also support the truth regarding the law of attraction.
As scientific proof states that what you think and believe becomes your reality, scriptures also state that whatsoever you desire, believe that you have received them and you shall have them.
Your beliefs begin as a thought. The thought then attaches itself to an emotion. The combination of your beliefs and the emotions attached to them send out energy (vibrations) that attracts similar energy and manifests itself into your reality.
Regardless of whether you choose to believe science or religion, it’s evident that your reality is a result of the law of attraction. If you change your thoughts, you will change your beliefs and that in turn will change your world.
You can of course choose not to believe in it and that your life is just a series of events out of your control, but that is your reality based on that belief which basically is the law of attraction at work. Deep I know.
For now the important thing to understand is that a force exists that delivers outcomes based on your thought vibrations. In order to increase the positive in your life, you must align your thoughts, which lead to beliefs, which lead to emotions, with that which you desire the most.
Whether it’s money, health, or happiness, your reality is directly connected to what you believe to be true… whether it is or not. If you are not happy with how your life is unfolding you must change your beliefs regarding your reality. You must learn to change what you think and feel if you want your life to change.
How many times do we hear people around us complaining about how broke they are or how sick they are or what not. What do you think that is doing? It's just continuing the process of creating more negative events in their lives.
Of course positive thinking is a good place to start but you need to follow that up with belief, emotions and actions.
If you believe you can get a great high paying job but never look for one or enhance your skills to get one, you are just practicing positive thinking which alone does nothing more than keep your hopes up. You need inspired action.
What is inspired action? It's action taken when you believe you will have what you say you will and believe in. Another example. You believe you get a new car. So what do you do? You start looking for one, it gets your emotions going in a positive manner and so forth. Before you know it, you have that new car.
What if you believed you couldn't afford it? You may have easily affored it but your belief that you couldn't became your reality.
This is a topic that fascinates me as I mentioned earlier and will discuss more aspects of it in future INTELS.
I'll leave you with this to ponder. I was healed of blindness in my right eye and healed of chronic back pain that I've had for 5 years because of my shift in mindset and beliefs. When I started believing, acting, saying and getting excited about the fact that I am a healthy person, things "miraculously" started to change in my life.
Oh, one last thing. The fact that you're reading this is not a coincidence ;)
